Persuasive Writing

  1. I am going to put your awesome walkie talkie ad on the TV because then the kids will be asking their parents to buy them. I will put it on now because it is close to Christmas. The internet is not safe enough and not everyone has a device. Most people have a TV.  TV is safer because the internet has virus’s.

  1. Firstly, there can be inappropriate ads on the internet especially for little kids. Thats because internet has NO rules. The TV has ads for all suitable ages and has lots of rules. If you choose internet they could make the ad really bad with a virus or even make it inappropriate for little kids.

  1. Secondly, if you advertise on the TV you can fit in a time slot for after or before school and before sport on the weekend, which means kids will be watching their everyday programmes. This means they  can ask or even plead for their parents to buy your product. Also, on at the times when there are adult program’s on we will advertise so they can buy them when they see your awesome ad.

  1. Finally, if you have chosen the TV brilliant idea, because nobody like’s ads on the internet. But since your ad will be so awesome everybody will be rushing in to buy your brand new and spectacular walkie talkie. After they have bought it they will be talking to all their friends about their brand new item. This is the fairer and safer way.

Reporters task

Hugh's Speech

This is my speech about persuasive writing

Vagabond Tomato reading

I'm a juicy red tomato
and I've tumbled off the shelf
and I'm rolling out the co-op door
to the street, all by myself.
I've left the other fruit behind            5
but I feel no remorse.
There's more to life than waiting
to be blended into sauce
or chopped up for a pizza
or sliced to serve with ham                 10
or just sitting, going mouldy
fifty cents a kilogram.

No, no! Heigh ho for the open road
and the footpath, wild and free!
Where feet pass by                              15
'neath an open sky
and there are no other vegies but me!
You won't catch me in your casserole
or your pyrex baking dish.
I'm the vagabond tomato and I'm...    20

Minions Writing

“ Right minions line up,” said Hugh the Professor, as the leader opens the door and marches in.  I stand as still as I can with my spear facing upwards.  The retard minion Dave started laughing because he through a stone at Greg’s head and Greg started crying. I [Bob] dropped my spear and jumped on dave and then a huge minion fight started, everyone was jumping on Dave and Greg was still crying. When Dave apologise he got told off and sent to his room. “ Ba do” Dave said as he slumped around the corner onto his bed and started using bad, bad words.  When dave came out of his room with professor Hugh, Gregg through a water bomb and Dave. Greg and Dave started to argue “get out of it Greg,” Dave started.
“ You  idiot,” Greg screamed back. They kept on fighting until professor split up Greg and Dave.

Weeks past as more and more things happened. One day when everything was normal. Professor's old group who were bad, told professor they were coming for us. But what they didn’t know is that who he worked for is us. Two hours later professor got an email from team rhino to say they are about to raid. When we were getting ready, the leader heard helicopters flying over our humongous house he immediately sent us in the duplicator to have 244 minions.  We got handed a pistol gun each and all lined up outside.  When the leader and professor came out of the door I was a guard again with my gun in my left hand and my spear in my right hand. As the helicopter got closer I got more scared. We started walking down the street into the park where the helicopter had landed. People with weird alien mask’s came out of the out of the crazy shaped ship. I wondered to myself maybe that’s why Hugh always looks so weird and like an alien.

Professor and the aliens shook hands to re met each other. Of cause the aliens did not remember professor because they were aliens and aliens don’t remember much.  Dave opened the door somehow because he was so small I didn’t think he would reach but he came running from the house with a pistol and started shooting the aliens. Thats when bullet came flying at me “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” I screamed.

To be continued!!!

A blood Story

The blood story

Running around the front of the house playing blind mans bluff were my friends and brothers. It was my 7th birthday and we were having a great time. I was the one with the blindfold on. I almost tagged Jono who was being a bit smart and rude.I heard someone by the wall I started running. I was running in the wrong direction. Thats when dad looked away to talk. I ran straight into the stone wall. I hit my head and fell to the ground. Tears filled my eyes as dad ran over to lift me up. Jono ran inside to get mum and the rest of the adults out to see what was happening. Dad carries me into the house. Mum call’s the doctor because there was blood dripping all over my face like a vampire.

Dad and the rest of the party stayed at home while mum and I went to the Medical center. My head was still very sore so mum brought a towel to stop the blood from pouring out.  When we were at the Hastings medical center we called in to the reception for my sheet. Dad txt mum to say that the other kids are eating the food so she gave me 2 chocolate bars and a drink. At least they didn’t eat the cake.

The best part of me

On the bottom of me is where I keep them, I see them not to tall but they are fast. They are a bit white but not to white.  They are muscular in all parts, also my heels can hold them up when I lie down.

They help me with a variety of things such as Biking, Running, Swimming and Walking. It also helps me with getting around. If I didn’t have control of my legs I might be walking up to bed but my legs take me to the bathroom

These creatures affect other people when I run past them in a game of rugby. They also affect other people when I chase people and tackle them.

I would never trade my legs even for $10000 billion because I like them the way they are.

Ice cream truck melting

Melting.jpg

Cruising along the parade handing out free ice cream,  I hear the waves crashing against the peninsula.  The summer breeze brushed past my window as my truck came to a stop.  Every time I put on the ice cream truck song it reminded me from when I was little, holding Mum’s hand as we trotted on down to the ice cream truck.  The kids ran up to me asking and asking for more and more singing the song that rang through my ears.

Not so long after selling and giving ice creams away it got blazing hot.  So hot that about 10 ice creams had fallen to bits.  Some people were thinking it was a drought. This steaming hot day was the biggest one the city had ever seen.  Suddenly it felt like my truck was sinking. I thought I was stupid. I was panicking, my heart was pounding, I couldn’t feel my feet, my lungs were burning. I was sweating as people got their ice creams.  Some kids thought I had just been on a magnificent run. I just lied and said I did, they laughed their heads off. I was feeling terrified, I closed up shop and started heading back.  Thats when it happened

Fictitious Character

With his Orange and Black stripes the little fish darts through the sea.  Joining a sea school you never know what little mischief man is up to next.  You will find him in Sydney at the dentist's fish bowl struggling to get out or getting swirled up by a evil looking pipe. His Dad gets fed up when he swims out to the mammoth sized boat.

Nemo also has some white stripes and big bold eyes that gleam like sparkling gems in the sun.  His undersized body and fins make him look really small.  Shining like a crystal Nemo’s white stand out teeth are shiny.  Nemo has 2 fins.

Taking many risks you never know what he’s up to next, turn into a shark, fly into space or maybe even swim up to a boat.  Being a hilarious and joyious fish, Nemo can be a very very cheeky one.  Nemo swerves his way throughout his amazing ocean adventures.

Trying to be the best he can Nemo makes 1 enormous mistake and nearly dies.  Swimming up to a speed boat nemo gets trapped, he is suddenly in great danger and he struggles to do anything.  Nemo is nice, honest and a caring fish but can not be much of a great listener.

Nemo’s dad tells him not go out to the boat yet he is easily distracted by the bottom of the boat which is very shiney.  Both Nemo and his dad are very overwhelmed with excitement when they see each other.  Nemo promises his dad to always listen and to never disobey him again.
